I wonder what kind of range is possible with a 33k ft repeater? Any reported contacts?
Have tried other amps before, but not this one. The other unit I tried didn't really give me such a great functional advantage in terms of reaching sources I could not otherwise reach, to make it w...
I try to do this on each flight I am on. I will typically send something like this: ✈️ SW1524 33k ft This is my flight number and altitude if available.
That's a great question. I don't see a Linux TAK client - strange as that is. There is a linux TAK server, but oddly this doesn't come with a TAK client. It expects Android, Windows or iOS clients ...
@J Sorry for the delay in my reply. :-/ You can go diectly here: https://www.raspberrypi.com/software/operating-systems/ to get an image you can install with the built-in Raspi Imager (under acces...

@Daniel_spec5 Thanks for the response.
Yeah, I've seen Zachmann's article. But it didn't appear to be very consistent; and the NanaVNA is "affordable". 🙂 I'm most interested in getting the antenna impedance closely matched to 5...
We have a NanoVNA. I haven't tried it but there are ways to use an SDR as an antenna analyzer. You just need to have something to calibrate it against.
Which antenna analyzer do your people use? I'm considering the NanoVNA-H4. Thanks!
The radio boards inside are different. The Trekker uses the Lilygo T-Beam while the Bravo uses a radio board from Heltec. Customers have reported higher GPS accuracy on the Bravo but slightly less ...
