so there's a bunch of pins, solder pads and switches on the top of the Nomad...

  • I gather this is the radio unit itself. is any of this documented? and is there some kind of cover or something we can put on the device to protect the pins sticking up?

  • The pins are repeated from the RasPi pins (same layout). The switches are for the radio. You could create a small protector by modifying a RasPi stacking header. If you printed a small rectangular piece. Then glue it to the modified stacking header. Perhaps they will provide this in the future. Wouldn't cost more than a few cents...

  • that's an interesting idea re: the stacking header. wish I had any facility at all with 3D design and printing, lol. so the idea is that the pins are repeated/stacked out so you can have more than one device connected to GPIO? and the pads/rings on the other side of the "Spec5" logo are for troubleshooting the radio, I guess? or maybe just the GPS?

  • Switches are for GPS Stby and to initiate a GNSS wakeup. .I sent you a link :-)

  • @J Did you ever get the Link I sent you in Msgs? There are two icons at the top of the screen. A Bubble and a Bell. Click on the Bubble to see messages:
