The hardware does have audio capabilities but the meshtastic firmware in use on the device does not support this. So today you wouldn't get out of the box audio capabilities with the Ranger.
We are working on a number of voice integrated solutions, so please stay tuned.
In the meanwhile, our NOMAD device offers the ability to run a variety of voip linux apps on the device while still offering LoRa/Meshtastic connectivity.
Does Spectre have audio capability through Meshtastic? I see that it does 2G, which is essentially voice and text only, right? Of course, recipient meshtastic units would need speech-to-text, and that could be supplied by a server Meshtastic device. Requires additional core and module support to get that, unless the source has the processing capability on board to 'make text.'
