Has there been any SDRs run on this?

  • I need a single portable platform that runs all the Rf goodness.

    Here's SDR running on Nomad

  • So GR?

Got the App configs for that?

  • Soooo, do you have some settings to get gqrx (shown above) running with the SX1262 card you include with NOMAD? When I open the pre-installed gqrx App in NOMAD, it returns a config error. None of the supplied dropdowns appear to work either.

    Thanks!

  • Sorry about the delay here. Will need a couple of days to set this up again; set it up on a unit that has since been imaged.

  • Re-reading this, it occurs to me you didn't specify which USB SDR dongle you're using. We're using the Nooelec NESDR Mini and that's working just fine.

As for settings, start gqrx and then select General RTL2832U with the Nooelec. Hit play and you're in business. Have it up and running now.

  • Ahhhh, That clears things up. I presumed you had it running using the internal Waveshare radio (even with its limited bandwidth). I've got one on order! :-)

I presume the Nano 3 - Premium should also work as well? The SFF and Alum. case are very attractive.

    Thanks for the quick response!

  • No problem!

I haven't tested the nano 3, but it doesn't appear as if there should be any issue. It is advertised as having an RTL2832U chipset, which should work.

  • @TX Programmer I'll reply back here once I've got it working...

  • Cool! Thanks.

  • Nano 3 works well too. Same settings.

  • That's really good to know. It's much more compact!

  • @TX Programmer The Nano is smaller, however it runs REALLY hot. Almost too hot to the touch. The included heat sink really helps though. If you want to encapsulate it inside a device, position it away and maybe even with a small fan. As it is, mine is in the open air since my 7" display has no back cover (yet).
