Relay usage

  • Hello, I was just wondering if you can use the relay as a stand alone unit, or if you would actually have to have 2 units for it to work? Does it just act like a regular router or repeater with device connection options? I'm also assuming that traffic going through this would still count as a hop? Sorry for the newb questions, I'm still pretty new.

also one more question, I plan on putting one really high up, but what happens if I need to change settings? Would I be able to connect to it without having physical access to the device? Where I'm going to put it is gonna be a pain to have to push a button on it or anything.

  • You can definitely have it run as a standalone unit. In that capacity it would essentially do what its name says... it will act as a relay for other devices and extend the range of the network.

If you wanted to connect to it to change settings etc. you would need to be in bluetooth range. But you wouldn't have to physically tough the device.

    Hope this helps!
