I have tried flashing meshtastic 2.7.15 via both Bluetooth and Serial and "404 cannot connect/download."
Is this device "locked" or only stable with the outdated FW?

nvm, figured it out in another forum.
got a link ? Was this a special firmware for the Spec5 ?
@John we use standard Meshtastic Firmware
I can't get my device into DFU mode to save my life... I've tried all the "tricks"... did you struggle in any way to flash it ?

the screen is blank, AFAIK this means its in DFU mode, but still unable to flash it
@John, Under normal use, does the device boot normally? I.e. does the device only boot up with a blank screen when you try to put it in DFU mode?
If you're using Windows, when the Ranger Magnum is in DFU mode, the option that pops up in flasher to connect to the device should say "USB JTAG...".
Let me know if you've got any more questions!
