High-power LoRa, dedicated GPS, multi-day battery life, and a fully metal IP68-rated enclosure for demanding off-grid deployments.
AUSTIN, TX, UNITED STATES: SpecFive LLC announces the launch of Raider, its first high-end tactical mesh radio for military, search and rescue, and first responder teams operating in demanding environments. Raider combines high-power LoRa communication, dedicated GPS tracking, a 6000 mAh battery, and a fully metal IP68-rated enclosure in a rugged platform that supports extended field use.
Raider gives teams reliable communication and location sharing without relying on cellular infrastructure. Its high-power LoRa radio provides long-range mesh communication, while the dedicated dual-band GPS/GLONASS antenna maintains a position to fix in vehicles and buildings. The 6000 mAh battery provides 4–5 days of typical mission use on a single charge.
The Raider is the first SpecFive device to use a fully metal enclosure. An extruded aluminum body with machined aluminum end caps provides IP68 protection against dust and water, including continuous submersion. The enclosure withstands rain, mud, drops, and the rough handling expected during field operations.
Spec5 Raider uses three dedicated external antennas for LoRa, GPS, and Bluetooth. The separate antenna design gives each system its own connection, while the dedicated GPS/GLONASS antenna helps maintain location tracking in environments where standard GPS signals can weaken.
The device supports Meshtastic, Meshtastic-ATAK, and MeshCore firmware, giving teams flexibility to configure Raider for different mesh communication and operational requirements.
Highlights
Raider combines a high-power 915 MHz LoRa radio with a rugged aluminum enclosure and a large battery for long-duration off-grid deployments. The radio delivers up to 24.6 dBm (290 mW) of output power, and the FCC certifies the radio for operation in the United States.
The device can operate as a personal communications and GPS-tracking radio or as a standalone repeater node. Teams can carry Raider on their person or place it on a rooftop, in a vehicle, or at a fixed location to extend and strengthen mesh coverage across an operating area.

Who It's For
Raider serves military operations, search and rescue teams, first responders, and emergency response crews operating beyond cellular coverage. Its long-range mesh communication, dedicated GPS, and multi-day battery life support personnel working across demanding environments where reliable communication and location tracking are essential. Teams can also deploy Raider as a standalone repeater node, making it suitable for fixed installations on rooftops, in vehicles, or at other locations where teams need to extend and strengthen mesh coverage.
