The Raider is Spec5's first high-end tactical device purpose-built for military, search and rescue, and first-responder teams who need a mesh radio that won't let them down: maximum transmission range, accurate GPS location, and enough battery to run for days, not hours. It's built around a fully metal housing: an aluminum-extrusion body capped with machined aluminum end pieces, sealed to an IP68 rating, so it holds up to the conditions those missions actually happen in rain, mud, dust, drops, and full submersion.
Where earlier Spec5 mesh devices have used plastic enclosures, the Raider is the first product in the lineup with a machined-metal build from the ground up, paired with a full 1-watt radio for maximum range and a 6000 mAh battery rated for 4–5 days of runtime on a single charge built to last the length of a mission, not just a shift.

Deployment
- The Raider works two ways. Carry it on-person as a rugged comms and GPS-tracking radio. Or set it in place as a standalone relay node to extend and strengthen the mesh.
- Its long range, large battery, and IP68 housing make it as capable in a fixed position as on a vest. Mount it on a rooftop, in a vehicle, or at a fixed point for days at a time. Teams can build mesh coverage across a whole mission area, not just carry a radio through it.
- Before any water or outdoor exposure, install the USB-C cap and DC-port plug over the unused port, and screw all antennas on tightly. Use only one charging port at a time.
