Just purchased a Ranger and updated firmware to 2.6.11. Also installed the Meshtastic app on my Android phone.
I can get them to Bluetooth pair and connect, but at some point (I haven't been able to catch it when it does this) it will disconnect and I will not be able to re-establish a connection. If I try to restart the Ranger, I get the "green screen of death" loop and the unit will not restart. I can get things to normalize by forgetting the BT connection on my phone and finally getting the Ranger to the Home Screen. I try to re-pair, and maybe it will, maybe it won't. If irt does, it still will not connect.
Our ham radio group is getting into meshtastic to supplement our emergency communications, and I want to get one for my wife so we can keep in touch off grid if necessary. To be honest, this is getting to be more time and effort than I want to put into this, unless there is an absolute solution to this problem. I can't depend on this to work when/if I need it.
Anybody have any input so I don't throw more good money after bad?
