Spec5 Raven UAS
Spec5 Raven UAS
Raven UAS – Airborne Mesh Relay & Reconnaissance System
The Raven UAS is a lightweight, GPS-stabilized unmanned aerial system designed to provide aerial observation and off-grid mesh network extension in a single, rapidly deployable platform. Each kit includes the Spec5 Copilot, transforming Raven UAS into an airborne communications relay capable of extending LoRa mesh networks and improving situational awareness in disconnected environments.
Built for mobility, endurance, and integration, Raven UAS is ideal for field teams, emergency response, training exercises, and experimental network deployments.
Key Capabilities
Extended Flight Endurance
Raven UAS delivers up to 40 minutes of flight time on a single charge, enabling sustained overwatch, repeated passes, and wide-area coverage without frequent battery changes.
Stabilized Aerial Imaging
An onboard high-resolution camera captures sharp still imagery and smooth video with electronic stabilization, providing reliable aerial visibility for reconnaissance, documentation, and real-time observation.
GPS-Assisted Flight & Safety
Integrated GPS enables stable flight, precise positioning, automated return-to-home, and intelligent flight modes such as waypoint navigation, orbit, and subject tracking.
Long-Range Digital Video Link
A robust digital transmission system provides a reliable live video feed and control link over long distances, allowing operators to maintain situational awareness well beyond the launch point (subject to local regulations).
Airborne Mesh Network Relay (Spec5 Copilot Included)
Each Raven UAS kit includes the Spec5 Copilot connectivity module, allowing the drone to operate as an airborne LoRa mesh repeater.
When deployed, Raven UAS can:
- Extend the range of ground-based mesh networks
- Relay messages and GPS telemetry between nodes
- Improve connectivity over terrain, vegetation, or urban obstacles
The Copilot integrates with Meshtastic and ATAK, enabling Raven UAS to function as a temporary aerial node that enhances network resilience and team-level situational awareness in off-grid environments.
Portable & Rapid Deployment
The foldable, sub-250 g-class airframe packs down small for transport and deploys in seconds. Raven UAS is easy to carry, quick to launch, and well-suited for dynamic field operations where speed and mobility matter.
